A fascinating opportunity to try the ‘then and now’ of Loire Valley Chenin Blanc from Marc Brédif. Known for producing wines that can be enjoyed young, or old, we have the 2011 vintage alongside the 2023 vintage. The 2023 is still youthful, with citrus, apple and hints of honey, with a ‘just’ off-dry finish. The 2011, at 12 years older, offers a more honeyed richness, developed cooked and dried fruits and that lingering off-dry finish.
