Fruit and Vegetable package

Each week we source the freshest seasonal fruit and vegetables from our suppliers, from Petersham to Sussex, Wiltshire to Kent.

We choose on the basis of flavour as it should be and used to be:

• fruits, vegetables and herbs: from small farms, from individual farmers with a passion for what they grow, how they grow it and for their land and the health of their soil and wildlife.
• often specialised; for example, we choose our potatoes from a farm devoted to potatoes throughout the year
• from a farm committed to growing, here in the garden of England, wonderful fruit and vegetable varieties from Japan.

We are in touch with our suppliers and discussing with them daily what they have in perfect condition for harvesting and delivering the next morning.

Often picked at 5 am and in our kitchen by 8 am.

All with something interestingly distinguished in their approach that caught our eye and imagination.
All cherishing land and nature.
All patient and painstaking – with a default mode to go ‘the extra mile’.
All looking to the future and not just to the ‘now’, hence their commitment to their most cherished item, the land and the myriad of life within it.
All committed, as are we in what we cook, to delivering traditional flavour and nutritional value.
All organic, some biodynamic.

The contents of our fruit and vegetable box will:

• be ever-changing, from week to week
• represent a snapshot of the best of the season and of the week
• be from field, or garden just before you receive the box
• be an utterly different experience from what is on supermarket shelves.

Weight will vary from week to week, as the vegetables within them change.
